MCP server

An MCP server is the part of a service that makes its functions available to AI tools through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Each function is an MCP tool, such as "send a document for signature". A remote MCP server runs on the internet at a public HTTPS address, so ChatGPT, Claude or Manus can connect to it with a URL.

How it works in Formify

Formify's MCP server is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.formify.eu/mcp. It has 50 tools across documents, files, templates, webhooks and account operations. Every MCP tool maps to an endpoint in Formify's REST API.

  1. Add the server URL in your AI tool's MCP settings.
  2. Sign in with your Formify account (OAuth). No API key needed.
  3. Describe what you want in plain language.

The AI tool can then create documents, upload PDFs, send them for signature, set a signing order, send reminders, revoke a document and download the signed PDF. Signers sign on Formify's signing page, either with a drawn signature or with Live ID: a passport scan and a video selfie. The MCP connection has no separate fee.

If an AI tool cannot sign in with OAuth, you can create an API key in app.formify.eu under Settings, Integration, and paste it as a token.

Which e-signature services have an MCP server?

Several e-signature services have their own MCP server, and Formify is one of them. The page e-signing with MCP has a function-by-function comparison of e-signature MCP servers, checked against each provider's official tool list on 9 October 2026.

FAQ

What is an e-signature MCP server?

An MCP server from an e-signature service. It lets an AI tool send contracts, verify signers and collect signatures for you, from the chat.

What is the Formify MCP server URL?

https://mcp.formify.eu/mcp. Paste it in ChatGPT, Claude, Manus or any AI tool that can add a remote MCP server.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in with your Formify account (OAuth). An API key is a fallback for AI tools that cannot sign in with OAuth.

Why does the server need a public HTTPS address?

ChatGPT and Claude connect to remote MCP servers from their own cloud, so the server has to be reachable on the internet over HTTPS.
