Claude custom connector
A Claude custom connector is a connection you add in Claude to a remote MCP server by pasting its URL. Anthropic uses it for services that are not listed in Claude's Connectors Directory. Once it is connected, Claude can use the service's tools in your chats, for example to send a contract for e-signature through Formify.
How it works in Formify
In Claude (desktop and web):
- Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the server URL
https://mcp.formify.eu/mcpand select Add. - Select Connect and sign in to Formify.
Try a first prompt such as "List my templates." Claude can then send contracts from templates or PDFs, check who has signed and download the signed copy.
Formify also has a plugin for Claude. You add the marketplace formify-e-sign/formify-skills under Customize, Plugins, and install Formify Core, which includes the connection. The steps are on Formify's MCP page.
In Claude Code, run /mcp add formify https://mcp.formify.eu/mcp and authorize in your browser.
